What Are You Doing New Years, New Years Eve?

We are going to be all cozy here at home. I have never, in my entire life, desired to be at a party on New Years Eve. Ever. I am much more content to be at home when it comes to this night. That's how I roll.

We'll do some reflecting on this past year and welcome 2010 in with open arms. This year has had its personal ups and downs, that is certain...but I always believe there have been far more Blessings than anything else at the end of the day. I hope the same for you.

And now, I need to go plan something spectacular for our supper and munchies. Not a clue as to what, but I am SURE it will be fabulous!

How about you? Are you a Party Person or Homebody on New Years?

Homebody! I am not much of a party person. And I don't like to be out at night on a holiday when there is the potential for a lot of drunk drivers being out there. Cats and I will hang out, watch TV (maybe put in a DVD) and work on my current quilt (need to get that one DONE - it's for a wounded solider).

good morning, we are homies too. On new years eve we just let it come quietly in, I always heard that whatever you do on new years day, you will do all day..So I am careful what I do on that day.
We used to go to some Watch Nite services at church. But we are contented homebodies now..
Happy New Year.

I am like you. I would much rather stay home with my family where we are all warm, safe, and cozy. This year we are going to church to play games and ring in the New Year with a prayer service, so that will be nice, but I really would rather stay home. Nothing against going to church, I love it, I just like home sweet home. Hope your munchies are great and fellowship with your family is sweet.

God bless and Happy New Year.

I have been to a party or two in my lifetime, but for the most part I am content to be at home. This year I will snuggle up with my Honey and welcome 2010 with a sip of bubbly!

We are staying in this year. We have a big party that we attend on New Year's Day... a fun day of bowl games and good food. :)

Happy New Year to you and your family.

I am a homebody all the time, not just New Years! :-) I wouldn't mind going to a party, but it seems folks only tend to converse with other folks they already know.....

Happy new year!!

I've done my share of parties when I was young (and more resiliant). Now, I stay at home. I have a couple of gal pals coming up; we're doing Chinese take-out, a foreign film, a few glasses of wine and perhaps a rousing game of Uno. And bedtime will most probably be before midnight. That's my idea of a good New Year's Eve get-together.

Definitely a homebody. This year, hubby and I are going out for a casual dinner with a friend at 6:00p.m. I hope to be on the couch with my Snuggie and my cats by
9:00. There's no place like home...Many blessings of peace, good health and happiness to you in the new year.

I'm in the middle....I like to be close to home and hate to rely on New York public transportation to get home after a New Year's celebration. We used to throw big parties, but stopped a couple of years ago. So this year, we're going to a friend's apartment for a small gathering of fun friends. Happy New years to you and yours. The Vintage Laundress is in New York and going to Times Square. She is brave, and I am not!

I'm a definitely more of an introvert, don't like to be around people that much but my husband's family is doing a progressive dinner and I've somehow allowed myself to be roped into attending.

I gave up on every being a NYE party person a few years ago. I always felt like I was *supposed* to be excited about going out on New Year's, but I finally admitted to myself that staying in and being cozy at home was way more enjoyable to me.

Have a great holiday!
