Grace And Gratitude

Do you remember this?

We had the picture of both the man and the woman in our kitchen area when I was growing up. And when Mom got rid of them years ago, I never imagined that I would want them some day.

So when I came across one of them at the thrift store, I snatched that picture up so fast, brought it home and hung it right in our kitchen area.

I know that the woman will find it's way to me at some point.

Oh yes I remember this picture well! My folks had one up in the hallway...but I didn't know there was a woman too. I think the picture still hangs in mom's hallway...it always looked so much like my late grandfather that we just never thought of getting rid of it.

I know you will come upon the matching set any day now...that's just how it works when you are on the hunt!

my dad has a picture similar to that too, one that has hung in his house forever. I've totally got dibs on it. hehe

This picture hung in one of the hallways of the church I grew up in. Seeing it again was nice. Like you, I never really noticed what a powerful picture it was as a kid. Hope you find his mate.

I remember this picture, but not the one with the woman. Nice that you found something from your childhood to hang in your home! That's what makes junkin so much fun!

Wonderful find. My Mom had the one of the man in her dining room for many years. My brother the pastor took it when she died (which I was OK with since I got all the old/vintage family photos). Interesting what a sweet memory it is for so many people.

Happened upon your blog tonight. We had that pic in our kitchen growing up too & I now have a smaller one. It wouldn't quite feel like home without it. Such a gentle reminder to give thanks.

She'll show up. Mates always do. Once again you made me homesick. My folks have the same one that my grandparents had. It's hanging in their dining room. I have never seen the woman, though.
