Christmas Cards

(thrifted cards from last Spring...)

I haven't even begun to think about mailing off Christmas cards. And I am starting to feel just a wee bit guilty everyday when the mail arrives and realize there are many people who have not blown off sending out their Christmas cards this year.

I think I have a weekend project ahead of me.

How about you? Do you send? Have you sent already? Are you one of those who is thinking about cards in October? Or are you proud if you get them sent out every couple of years?

I gather thrifted cards all year long and since my 'real life' friends have mostly shunned the card thing, I swap on the ol' Swapbot, about 40 cards sent to and received from folks I don't really know every year. I loves me some Christmas cards! :O)

Christmas cards are important, to me. I usually have them all ready to go by the first week of December. This year, I am behind. I've sent only 6, I think. Received as many as I've sent, which is unusual! Gotta get back at it! :)

Soooo behind on this task. Normally done by now and this year I have not even begun. Must begin, must begin...

I love getting Christmas cards but, have yet to get mine out the door. I have yet to get any out the door, ever. In the past, I've even made my own, put in pictures and still didn't get them sent. At least that year I did hand deliver a few. I always have grand notions of getting cards out, but alas, Christmas comes and goes and I've not sent them yet again...

I make and send them and feel heavily pressured to get them done, but have I started them? NOOOOOOOOO! But definitely tonight after work I'm sure!

I meant to take a year off ... then it was two ... and this year it didn't even occur to me. I don't know why I disliked doing it so much, but it was (is?) my least least favorite thing to do. I am officially a bad person.

I'm thinking about it. I have lots of cards I could send. I mainly send them to people I only hear from at Christmas and want to keep in touch with, even if only once a year! I guess I should start writing...

Well, it's on my to-do list this weekend. Since I make my own cards this will not be an easy task to complete, but I am determined. On the plus side, my daughter's card was one chosen by the art club as their fundraiser. I will be sending relatives that card. So really my task is cut in half! Yeah!

I send cards each year because I love cards/graphics, etc...I don't have that many to send, so it isn't a huge chore and I don't enclose a Christmas letter, just a few lines. Happy Holidays!

I do send cards. I'll be working on them soon; I had to survive the family birthdays in December first.
