Booth 316 at Memory Lane

Good Morning! Thought you would like to see what the booth looks like without all the Valentines Day hearts and red accents.

I pulled in a wooden shelf along the left side so I could add a few more shelved items instead of hanging right now. It is pretty dark and not very Spring-like, but it is serving its purpose at the moment.

All the kitchen items are new-to-the-booth as well...most of them are larger and make for a shipping nightmare, so right now will see if they get sold here or if they will be moved over to the Etsy Shop.

I have SUCH a weakness for vintage kitchen...it is so difficult to walk past these fabulous cake stands and serving trays and not scoop them up. They all represent such a lovely era!

Today is going to be spent in the Studio creating some fun framed goodies, cleaning up some computer files and getting book work and tax information pulled together for my accountant. Hmmmm...I think the 'work' will get done first and then the 'play'.

Enjoy your day,
Sonya

Snow, Fevers, Legos and Music

Well, Good Wednesday Morning! How it is Wednesday, I am unsure. We had a snow day on Monday. Tuesday Bud went back to school, but Lu was still home with a fever and a deep need for sleep and iced apple juice. Today, everyone is feeling good and are where they are supposed to be!

My lamp post pretending to be in Narnia

By late Monday afternoon we were done playing and shoveling the snow, done reading our books, done watching movies and just simply done in general. Which was the perfect time to bring out the Harry Potter Lego's that I had set aside just for this type of moment.
Bud is really into Lego's right now. Big Time. So much so that I keep eyeing the Harry Potter Hogwarts Lego Castle every time I go to Target...just waiting for that baby to go clearance.

Let's see...snow...fevers...Lego's...Music! If you scroll down to the very bottom of the blog, you will find the music that I am listening to right now. It changes often. I am LOVING the Cold Play single!

And now, I am off to visit Memory Lane and remove a whole lotta construction paper hearts.

Enjoy your day, Sonya

Valentine's Day At Memory Lane

Yesterday morning was spent foofing up the booth at Memory Lane and making far too many construction paper Valentine hearts. I forgot how much I liked making those as a little girl!
Enjoy your day,

700 Posts?!

Actually, this post makes it 701. Wow. 701 posts of not all that much to say;) Thanks for coming along for the ride! It is wonderful to have like-minded friends all over the world.

The past few weeks have been filled with a whole lot of Studio Time...Mostly just rearranging, going through things and listing on Etsy. I love going down into the studio! Mostly to putter around. It is definitely my happy place. Unless it is too filled and I haven't been spending enough time putting sale items away or the glue bottles and glitter are all over the desk area with paper cuttings. The desk has been cleared off (for the most part, do not judge me) and this is the most space I have had since last fall.

Obviously, there is still a lot of moving around to do. And on that note, I am going to go fix a pot of tea and head back down for the day!

Enjoy your day and weekend, Sonya

Bud's Harry Potter Surprise Party!

Bud is now 7. MY BABY IS SEVEN!  And is so into Harry Potter he can hardly contain himself. So when we decided to throw a little surprise party for him and a few close friends yesterday, it was quite easy to come up with a theme. Some streamers and balloons in Griffindor colors:

A cool sign painted by Lu:
And a scavenger hunt to get the party started:
--Wands were wooden dowels
--Toads and snakes were small plastic Target finds
--Dragon eggs were Easter eggs spray painted bright gold
--Stones were large beads
--Wizards cup was little trophy's found also at Target in their party section

Buds close friends Mommies are my close friends which makes it very easy to just relax and enjoy the party. The different items they found on their scavenger hunt went home with each child in their goodie bags, The potions class was part of the refreshments (7up and food coloring) and then cupcakes in the 'great hall' for treats. And then the kids just played hard while the Mom's had a chance to catch up. It was so much fun!

And now I need to get my newly 7 year old child off to school.
